Maple Ridge Resort

We have been coming to Maple Ridge since owners Bob and Nicole purchased this place 8 years ago. Very nice and comfortable accomadations. We are fisherman. The property has live bait ( minnows, leeches and crawlers), nice fish cleaning shack and a calm cove with docks for your boat. A small playground, pea gravel beach and kayaks for your use. There is a mountain bike path also. The rooms are not air conditioned which could be an issue for some but overall, it hasn't affected our enjoyment of the facility.

We have been going to Lake Michigamme on and off since the 90's and were thrilled when Bob and Nicole took over Maple Ridge. We have been staying there since 2018 each year. Resort is located in a great location both via highway and on the lake and there is great fishing right in front of the resort! You will not find better people in the UP like Bob and Nicole! They are the best and we will continue to come as long as they have Maple Ridge!

Fantastic lake front resort on beautiful Lake Michigamee. The rooms are incredibly clean, bed was very comfortable and kitchenette had everything we needed. We stayed in the one studio unit which is cozy and a decent size for a couple. The two bedroom units are incredibly spacious. All of the units facing the lake have good size windows which allowfor a spectacular view. We stayed in the fall but I imagine this location would be equally gorgeous year round. Whether you are in the area for snowmobiling, hiking, hunting for waterfalls, boating or just hoping to relax in a peaceful spot, this location either has it or is quite close to it. An excellent base from which to venture out to a wide variety of sites. Bob and Nicole are wonderful hosts and readily available for anything you might need as well as tips on great sights to see and activities in the area

We stayed at Maple Ridge Resort this fall, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. The setting on Lake Michigamme is absolutely stunning — brilliant reds, golds, and oranges reflecting off the water, with crisp air and peaceful surroundings. It’s the kind of place that makes you stop and take it all in. The accommodations were spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. Having a full kitchen and living space made it feel more like a cozy cabin retreat than a typical hotel stay. We spent our mornings with coffee on the deck watching the fog lift over the lake, and our evenings under clear northern stars. (we never did get around to lighting a fire, but there is a pit) What truly made the stay stand out was the hospitality. Bob and Nicole were warm, welcoming, and genuinely eager to make sure guests were comfortable and enjoying the area. They gave us great local recommendations for scenic drives and short hikes to catch the best leaf colors. You can tell they take real pride in what they’ve built here. Bob even went out of his way to help our team in a pinch during the rally — something we won’t forget. His willingness to lend a hand, paired with the resort’s peaceful, well-kept setting, really made this experience special. If you’re looking for a quiet, picture-perfect place to enjoy the fall colors in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, this is it. Maple Ridge Resort is a gem — peaceful, beautifully maintained, and run by people who truly care about their guests. We’ll definitely be back next year.

Highly recommend this resort. We were driving the Upper Peninsula enjoying the colors and found this gem of a place at the end of our day, tucked away beside a beautiful lake. Bob and Nicole were very welcoming and eager to meet any needs we might have. Rooms were clean and cozy.

Mid-October couple stay. Loved our clean, comfortable room (#6) with a view of Lake Michigamme. The kitchen and bathroom appear to have been re-done recently. Fully equipped with table and stools, couch and cozy blanket, coffee maker (bring your own coffee) toaster, oven and stovetop, microwave and full-sized fridge. Well-kept older building with no weird smells! Find the office around the back, facing the lake.

Maple Ridge is a great choice for the snowmobile enthusiast. Stayed here for 9 nights in January 2023. Ride right up to your room! Efficiency rooms have all the standard amenities and are very spacious. Bob and Nicole are awesome hosts and are attentive to their guests. Trail access is easy and trails are perfectly groomed. Highly recommend checking out Maple Ridge!
